  • I shaved out of curiosity just to see what it would be like. Afterwards I felt both liberated and awkward. I felt liberated because my legs were so smooth. I felt awkward because I cut myself right in the middle of my shin where everyone could see. Ouch! Sorry if I misinterpreted you, if you meant bikini area. I felt the same way because it was so neat, but when it grew back it was so itchy.
  • If you are talking pubic hair I shaved that when I was 13 because I was bored. Afterwards when it started to grow back I swore I would never do it again. The itching and bumps I got drove me completely insane. Have I done it again? Hell no.
  • Bakini season! That is the only reason I ever decided to start shaving. After the first time i realized that shaving that area just isn't for me so now I wax! All gone and stays gone longer!
  • totally shaved when i had an emergency c-section. I didn't really care about it at the time, i was so sick. it made aftercare easier, with decreased mobility, pains, and all that bleeding. i was glad they shaved all of it off.
  • It was from curiosity and I have kept it up for over 10 years now.
  • What shaving are you asking about? Question leaves a lot to the imagination. Did Britney Spears prompt this questions? 2/24 Wow, you ask some sexy questions. Okay, I don't think pubic zones of men or women should be shaved. Trimming with a clipper to make the zone neat and tidy is okay and usually preferable.
  • I shaved at age 23 after I got married and was experimenting with some things. It made me feel sexy and liberated and naughty...but I got over it quickly....when it started to grow in...it burned and itched and felt hellish....will never do again....just trim now...much better
  • They used to do it before you gave birth, so that experience was enough..I have never had any desire to do it on my own..trimming is quite enough
  • i am 33 and i started shaving when i was 18. i did it to see what i would look like (couldnt remember since my puberty started around the age of 10). i liked the feel of soft lips and the look. i have kept it like that since. instead of shaving now i wax. over the years of waxing the hair hardly grows back now and my husband loves it that way. i have had 6 children so i guess i dont realy care if the doctor sees me this way or not.
  • I started because I saw a television program about it. I thought I was going to be disgusted by the program, because until then I was in favour of leaving things 'au naturel' (I think that's spelt wrong, apologies). But once I hear what the women on the show had to say, and once I did it and felt it myself, I felt so much better, it feels lovely and smooth and is very sensitive. I find it easier to get aroused now. It doesn't get itchy or anything when the hair grows back, just a bit stubbly as a man's face gets. Plus it's easier to keep the area clean when I have my periods, and I don't have to worry about any of those stray hairs sneaking out on the beach, or when I fall over and my knickers show. So I feel liberated.
  • But, would you do it again?
  • I did it beucase of my bf nd it was itchy not liberating and SWEATY eeeewwwwww ...give me 70's all natural
  • That makes sense
  • Nothing wrong with the "all natural" look either!
  • I did it once when I was 15, i thought it looked stupid and the itchyness sucked, I started doing it again last year because the bf mentioned a certain preference for it, I use aloe to relieve burning and itching, if I let it grow in a bit before shaving it the next time, its really smooth,.
  • Assuming you mean pubic hair... I let a bf pressure me into it once-- I dated him for nearly a year and he would occasionally make comments so one day I decided to surprise him. Never again. PURE MISERY. My skin was SOOOO irritated for several days. And sure he liked it, but it totally changed the sensations for me during sex and I didn't really care for it. So, I decided to let it grow back... dear Lord. Talk about itching!! On about day 3 of my torture I was going through my medicine cabinet looking for some sort of anti-itch cream or SOMETHING to make it stop. I found an anesthetic wound wash for minor cuts and burns, you can buy it at the drug store for about $5. It worked great, made me all numb so it didn't itch anymore. It made me feel awkward, actually. I felt like a kid, and it kind of weirded me out. And it made me feel awkward that he would put so much pressure on me to do it, as well. It didn't last long after that, it was sort of a red flag, and an important lesson for me about not letting men pressure me into doing something-- even as simple as shaving-- that I wasn't comfortable with.
  • my boy friend made me let him shave me 3 years ago,it was a bit unpleasant when growing back.I have been compleatly bald now for aprox 3 years. He shaves me every 2 days untill 3 month ago when he booked me in to a lazer clinic. It was a shock when he took me there.I have had 2 treatment so far and go for my final treatment next week.No more stuble for me and my boy friend seem very happy.
