  • First simple answer is to reboot the unit 3 times in a row (Tivo's Solution). This worked for me a few months ago. You might also try to reset all your program info. this would erase everything, favorites, thumbs, and programs, but it puts it back at a clean software state. If that doesn't fix the problem then you may have a hard drive that is starting to fail (that happened this month). You can visit http://www.tivocommunity.com/ for more info on testing and drive replacement. Given Tivo's warranty only covers the first 90 days and then they charge $99 to fix it and you get a refurb back, it might be worth the money to upgrade your drive space.
