Why do you think Canada is well known throught the world?

Because it is one of the most developed countries in the world, plus its next door to America.

It is very large, and has some great hockey teams Incredible cities and scenery. And I think I will be back in Montreal in May

In addition I would say our past colonial status would have made us known throughout all other British colonies, and that is a substantial number of countries.

Sort of. Every hockey-playing country knows of Canada. Otherwise, sorry to say, the rest of the world know very little about Canada, besides the fact that it's right next to the US. Most people don't even know its capital.

Partly because Canadians are well traveled and speak about Canada when abroad in foreign countries

I personally think that Canada is well known because it's always been known as a peaceful and free country.

Three good reasons I can think of: Hockey, Rush and beer.

They're well-known for minding their own business & not sticking their noses on other people's affairs unlike their neighbor to the South
