  • he has a cool mustache
  • No I do not like surrealism. I think he has a very distorted crazy vision of the world
  • I absolutely love some of his work... some of it scares me.
  • I like some of his works. Unfortunately, many of the works on paper and canvas floating around today are fakes due to Dali being very eccentric and also spending money like water. he signed blank sheets of paper and actually helped some of the printing companies print up alot of what later became faked Dali limited edition works that he never ever signed. But he was a good artist as far as surrealism goes and will always be thought of as a genius in that respect.
  • Salvador Dali looks a bit odd and some of his work looks a bit odd but I like his interpretation of life. His version of Christ on the cross, "Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus)", is awesome and I am not Christian. "The Persistence of Memory" with the melting clocks is really cool.
  • I absolutely hate Dali and that is unusual for me as I like a lot of 20th century art. I grew up with his Crucifixion (it is in a gallery near where I was born), and it is my favourite, or "least-worst" of his works, although I am an atheist. I like the composition. Most of his stuff I find very pretentious and queasy.
  • I like a few of his works, and have an overall appreciation for surrealism. I think Dali himself had some issues with women and misogynism, as displayed in "A Woman Autosodomized By Her Own Chastity" - supposedly inspired by his sister. The original hangs in the Playboy mansion.
  • I do like Dali's art. I find it intriguing. I think he was an exceptional artist.
  • not really, i did an art report on him b/c my stupid art teacher is a bitch and told me to do him and not someone else.
  • the more i've learned about him the less i like him. i do, however, like his art. both he and andy warhol had other young artists do work for them that they then later signed. i think that's a load of you know what! at least they only did this later in their careers, it wasn't a milli vanilli thing. they were truly talented, but i just find it distasteful to do things like that, to have others do work and call it your own. i lost a lot of respect for them.
  • yes... i love the one with melting clocks... it is as surreal as it gets
  • I LOVE Dali. I saw a museum exhibtion of him in London. My myspace page has the Persistence Of Time and the Bullfighter plus others I can't come up with the names of but he was incredible.
  • I love Dali's art... I love the surrealism and I love how the same things are in many of his works. I visited the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg, FL once and on the tour we got to see several things in his works that I never saw before. He loved hiding messages in his paintings!
