    Our genetic makeup is different. Not to mention men and women are raised differently. How men and women are treated by others is different as well. The environment that one is raised in has everything to do with how they think

    Men and women have (somewhat) different mental processes because...

    --On average, they have different brain structures.

    --Brain function/activity is highly influence by hormones, and men and women have very different hormone mixes in the brains/bodies.

    --Men and women have different roles in reproduction, so their react differently to situations that affect those roles.

    --Men and women are socialized very differently, starting as young as infancy.

    --There are all sorts of social structures that tend to encourage/discourage particular thoughts and behaviors by women and men.

    I'm sure the above picture is far from complete, but it does hit the main highlights.

    The of evolution of brains of men was different than that of women because of different kinds of demands placed by society. Plus the chemistry is dissimilar too.

    Mostly Culture, there wouldn't be as much of a noticeable difference between the way the two sexes think if children were not issued chores, told what clothing is appropriate, discouraged from belching, told who should wear makeup, who should play sports ... based on the sex of the child. Culture exaggerates our biological differences.

    God gave man enough blood to run either his penis or his brain at any given time :D we cant do both simultaneously..... unlike women.... they cant see anything down below their own cuz 2 round shaped objects usually block their view neck down ;) LOL

    It's some parts culture, upbringing and education. But the biggest part that most don't understand is that we are completely opposite sexes. We think and process information differently, we have different emotions, we are not equal. It is the truth. Men and women think differently. You can't change human nature. Now, enlightened folks can surpass that and try to understand and respect each other.

    So men can only be in one lobe at a time
    This is what makes men task oriented
    Women are in both lobes at the same time
    This is what makes women multitask easier then men
    This is also why it is easy for a man to clear his mind and meditate

    sex: evolution makes the genes of men who accept or even TAKE more breeding opportunities more dominent. it makes women who have more seed survive to adulthood more dominent, so men are stronger by sleeping around, women are stronger by breeding with the best and having help raising the kids.
    Life: men more often had to being home the mamoth bacon so our brains are better wired for matters of tactics. women more often focused on child care and sprucing up the cave so they are more atuned to the needs of children. these different objectives are best served by different focuses

    *Disclaimer: This could be way wrong, but a friend of mine told me they learned this in a psych class.

    Women have more connectors between the two halves of the brain, meaning they can think with both halves simultaneously, whereas men can only think with one half at a time. Women can be emotional and logical at the same time, but men can really only be one or the other. That's why when it comes to complicated and important things, such as matters of the heart, men and women can arrive at totally different conclusions, because the paths they followed to reach a conclusion were so drastically different.

    Women are more emotional and that is nature's mechanism to get them to be very emotionally protective of her new born child. She would instinctively protect the child with her life.

    Men on the other hand needs to go out, risking dangers to find food to bring home. Hence nature made man evolved with a more logical, less emotional way of thinking pattern in order to procure foods whilst protecting himself from danger.

    So the differences are meant for survival but the side effect of that translated into the modern marriage is regular conflicts of views. One based on emotion and the other on logic.
