Help answer this question below.
Hiya Deb!
I say either burgers or hamburgers depending on the moment.
For example:
Burgers and fries.
Hamburgers and hotdogs.
They all mean the same thing to me though. ;)
Bacon cheeseburger please and if I have a hot dog it is a Michigan.....Google that one debtahals...it is an odd regional food where I live served on a hot dog...and it is good!:)
We use "burgers" and "hamburgers" interchangeably. My ex-mother-in-law (from Massachusetts) used to say "hamburg" which sounded odd to me but it was probably a regional thing. We don't have burgers with hot dogs..we either have one or the other. Each satisfies a different part of the palate..if we're hungry for hotdogs we're not interested in hamburgers and vice-versa! :)
i only ever say cheeseburger haha!! :p
Either “hamburgers” or just “burgers.” And yes, they’re the same thing.

You're reading Do you say burgers or hamburgs or hamburgers? Are they all the same thing or do they mean different things? Which do you have with hot dogs?

Funny how our words change depending on what it's served "with" .. just as with the two examples you gave.
No "hamburg" for you. Burgers or hamburgers coming up.
Thank you. :)
