No I was actually held back in the 4th grade because I wasn't mature enough. I liked to screw around and play too many games. Somethings never change.

Yes... i got skipped from 4th grade to sixth grade.

it was really cool being that was soooo young, but that was in the dominican republic...when i came to New York, they put me back in the grade i wa supposed to be...those bastards...i could be a year or two ahead of my life...that suck but everything turned out good.

Yes I was 2 grades ahead when I went into My High School, although it is worked differently in the UK. I was at what we call Public school which was Boarding.
I think having to live amongst much older girls all the time made me more shy

- I meant to get back to you yesterday, but The sky fell.
  Four of the boys friends died this week while I was gone.

  Cory's freind (roommate), shot his ex girlfriend, and her new boyfreind, in front of their two kids.
  Another friend of the boys hung himself this weekend.

- Oh, Spicy. I'm so very sorry that happened. There seems to be so much tragedy around your sons and where you live in general. We don't experience that around here. I'm glad to hear that your boys are OK. Do everything you can to make sure they are safe. I know Dreanna passed. I saw that this morning. I was going to ask if you were OK. You seemed to just shut down and I was concerned. I want you to be happy and live a good life. These sorts of things are hard. I'm pleased to hear the boys are OK.

- Yes the boys are doiing okay, Cory is having a really hard time with it right now, the last thing he said when he left last night was, "dont you die on me, I cant take anymore", I am fine healthwise, he is just spooked right now.

- My sons have alot of friends, that may be why there seems to be so much. This was the neighborhood hang out, so I met all of them. They still come by, all the time, a few came by yesterday, needing some comfort.

- I wont, Cory stopped by on Thursday, he forgot I went on vacation, he siad he just sat on the porch for a couple hours and cried, he didnt know what to do, he didnt want to bother me, on vacation, because, it is kind of a fmily joke, that everytime I go on vacation something bad happens and I have to end up cutting it short and coming back, I think I need to stop going on vacation.

Hey Sarita, long time, no see!

Yes, I skipped 2nd grade. They didn't have advanced groups or gifted classes back in the early 70s, so they just skipped you a grade.

In some ways, I'm glad I got to go ahead, because I was bored.

But, it was hard in other ways. I hated always being the youngest or shortest in my class.

The school wanted to skip my son and daughter but they were both one of the youngest in their classes already I didnt think it was a good idea. So I told the school no. My son was pissed but he got over it.

Yes, I got skipped from first to third grade. But then my parents moved, and they had me put back into second grade in my new school for "social reasons". Gah! Worst decision they ever made.

Oh, and I'm snot sure if this counts, but I also "skipped" the 11th and 12th grades by getting enough Regents credits to graduate high school by the end of 10th grade.
