I have a male. Their personality can vary individually but generally, as a species, they're very entertaining, very talkative, alert to what's going on in the household. My male loves to have conversations with us. what every we do, he has to join in & do as well. He makes friends with everyone & everything in the house. He can be a little turd when he's hormonal. when hormonal he can be bitey & charge at you, refuse to come out of the cage at times. Most of the time noise doesn't bother him. On the occasion it does he flies to his cage for some peace & quiet. Although ekkies generally prefer to talk than scream, if there are other birds in the house or outside that they take an interest in, they will pick up that noise. My boy like to screams like a white tail black cockatoo & it is ear piercing! He's a toe tapper if he's food goes old too quickly from high humidity & hot weather. His body language is really easy to read so we can avoid bites when he's in a bad mood! I made a website because of him :D http://www.eclectusparrots.net/
