  • I have been told by my Japanese friends that many Americans look like movie starts. The Japanese love the big screen and many movies from Hollywood make it big in Japan, even now and from as long ago as before WWII. Japan has a very controlled social structure, respect of elders, senior workers and companies, and various traditions and customs that must be obeyed to fit into the social norm. Comparatively, America appears very free and unregulated.

Along the lines of what *KozDracon - Nelson was a good friend* was saying, the Japanese culture value conformity, to such a degree friends will often try their hardest to look like one another. In America, we admire the rebel, and often root for the rogue or the outcast. To varying degrees of success we try to be individuals.

  • The image of america for japanese is free country, good looking men, women, friendly people,aerican dream~ the effect of movies and famous actress might be strong. These things are attraction for them.
  • Well, as an American I like their animation better because it's more adult in some cases, but it's mystical, and (more often than not,) has a twisty plot that keeps me interested. I also enjoy eating with chop sticks.
