Can a dental office refuse to release dental records to a patient? Can the office also refuse to give forwarding information if their dentist left the practice? They would give info and release records if the patient came back for further treatment.

As a dental patient, you paid for the records and x-rays and own them. The dentist is not allowed to hold them and is required to release them to you if asked.

Actually, I've seen dentist refuse to turn over records, I don't know if its in the small print somewhere or what.
