President Obamas stimulus package is a joke. How will it help the economy? I suggested, If you are giving the banks money anyway. Why not pay off consumer debt with it. The banks still get the money. But the benefit to all Americans would be unlimited.

Amen..i thought I was the only one who thought giving the money directly to the banks was a joke....the money should have been given to those who needed it to stay out of foreclosure..it would have made its way to the banks anyway...very low interest loans, with a grace period for paying these loans back to the government..(say with payments starting when the economy improved a bit)..

My proposal called for each household to receive $100,000 in available funds. No cash. Each household could submit their bills to the government for payment up to that amount. The banks get the money. We get out of debt. More money is available to put back into the economy. Think of the possibilities.

Don't say that too loud a democrat will hear you.This is all part of a bigger plan to socialize America but it won't work, they underestimate the power of the working people of this country,just look at the tea parties going on around the country.
