Surely, if the only environment you have is one sex, logic states that you are bound to relieve yourself with another person (or alone) the same way cattle "mate" when there is no bull, does that make a cow gay though?

The sex is technically gay sex, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the men who are doing it are gay- at least not when they aren't in prison. The fact is that men have hormones and when they are locked up for very long periods of time a decent percentage of them will choose to have sex with someone else in prison even though they aren't normally attracted to men. They might close their eyes and imagine it's a woman or maybe they just get used to it. Not all men in prison do it, but I've heard that most do. It has alot to do with the length of your sentence and such, I am sure.

Not only does same sex situations happen in prison, but in all extended seperation of sexes type of places. In all wars it happens, in all prisons, boarding schools etc. Does this make the male gay? No, you have to be born to be gay. If anyone, male or female is/was in whatever situation, they may have sex with their same, yet at an early age, we ourselves, get to know, if we prefer males or females. We are born to be attracted to whatever sex we are attracted too. It is not only humans, all animals have hetro or gay types.

Its not gay unless you love them then it is. Having sex doesn't mean your gay unless you show affect for the other person, like a deep meaningful kiss in public or not. Sex without that is just sex.
