I don't eat much string cheese. But on the rare occasions that I do, I like to take my time and savor it, piece by piece.

I usually start by trying to pull it apart but I've found that if it is straight out of the fridge it just wont be stringy, so I end up eating it like a cheese stick.

I eat it like a stick.

I peel apart all the way! Not because I'm supposed to, but because I enjoy it. I even went through a period of dependancy on string cheese... I had to have it in my fridge at all times.
-
I roll it in my hands to warm it up a abit, then peel strings off. (pizza and smoky bacon flavours only).
-
I don't like thick cheese so I always peel it.

Chomping doesn't taste half as good

I'm boring, I guess. I like to pull apart the strings and eat them in bunches. That gives me something to do with my hands so I am not just shoveling it in my mouth, so it's better for me I suppose.
-
i peel it cause you can savor it more.
-
My husband thinks I'm nuts how I pull it apart and eat each little string one by one! It doesn't taste as good otherwise! Sometimes it can take me up to 30 minutes to eat one string cheese stick!
-
I peel it apart, but if it's one of those with two kinds of cheese, then I peel off one of the kinds and peel and eat that, then stuff the rest into my mouth. :)
-
I peel it apart as it lasts longer that way. Besides, if its not eaten as "string cheese" you can buy regular cheese that tastes basically the same in a cheaper medium.
