In college, we had a conversion rate of .001 Monopoly to Legal Tender, essentially making $1000 Monopoly = $1.00 US. And you had to buy in to play. Great fun for a few of us.

No. People will get upset, since the rules are complex and its largely up to chance. Also, not many people have thousands of dollars lying around.
