That is a very inquiring question with a very strong sense of sincerity! I will explain the best I can ok? Each question one at a time. First, There is scripture for this and the last quesion as well, 2Ti 4:3 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." My views on Christianity is, well, I just simply look at it as a definition of people who truly follow the Words of Christ! However, if you want to get technical...Christianity has been around since the fall of man! Remember how God said this...Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. This signified the establishment of Christ's work in humanity. Also something interesting to think about is, Christ did'nt never call the group Christians but He calls them Saints. Is everyone going to hell that does'nt believe...yes. What is hell? It is the grave! There is no such thing as a place where you are tormented forever and turned over so you'll burn on both sides! lol That is a scare tactic that the devil has put in place to get you to jump into ANY religion that had the name of Christ associated with it! However, I don't want to encourage you to not be concerned about it! Can you imagine...to go to sleep and NEVER EVER ever wake up again??? Never? And if you were to go to a place tht burned forever...would that not be eternal life? But God said that only the redeemed would inherit eternal life! Here is what you do...pray to God and ask Him to forgive you for any wrong that you may have done or said and ask Him to show you the way to truth. 1) Because people have been taught not to question their beliefs. Religions don't stand up well when they are honestly questioned and so they make it a part of their theology to not question and to pretend that they are being persecuted when they are questioned. 2) Christianity is one of many thousands of religions on this earth. Some form of it is believed by almost 1/3 of the earth's population. 3) Some Christians believe in hell and that people who don't believe in their version of Christianity will go to hell. 4) Who knows why people believe what they do. Most believe what their parents convert them to. You can believe despite the lack of good evidence or you can logically withhold belief until or if good evidence is provided.

It's uneasy simply because so many are afraid that if they listen to another's point of view, they will either be proven wrong, or be forced to back up something they cannot. I am a Catholic, but I do not believe that non Christians are going to hell simply because they do not believe. I know some atheists and agnostics who are far more god-like than any Christian I have ever met. Belief in God and spirituality have nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not you are a good person. Simple as that.
