Most of them are too busy to read the bible so why would you expect them to read TOoS?

Alright, you people - get real! Why downrate this guy for asking a question? I think the question is valid and good. Maybe people who DR it before it even has an answer ought to consider answering it - (then again, maybe they'd just prove the guy right). +4 (more if I had them to give). I do not believe in the bible, but I've read it. I did so because I wanted to have an open mind. I read it again later so I could quote back at bible thumpers who don't seem to 'lead by example'. Are the DR people, and Christian types here, going to show that they are so narrow minded they won't even TRY to understand, or at least educate themselves about what they are eager to ban?

I don't like your implication that "The Origin of Species" is anti religion in general. All that it opposes is a completely literal interpretation of the biblical Book of Genesis. Only a minority of Christians, let alone other religions, take a literal interpretation of Genesis - it is usually regarded as metaphorical at best.
