I say get him a gift card. Or buy him a CD or video game. I know it seems "out of character" but figure, they're getting you something often worth some money, why not return the favor. I would treat it like any other time I got my boyfriend a gift. Perhaps he likes cars? Get him a model of his favorite car. It depends on the guy, to be honest.
