For those of you who are irreligious (Atheist, Agnostic, Spiritual but unaffiliated) but were raised in a particular faith, why did you leave your faith?

i am spiritual now but i was raised as a christian and the reason i left chistianity is because when i was 11 years old and my dad died i didnt like being told by the vicar that my dad was in hell just because he had a drinking problem before he died. you dont get anyone judging you in the spiritualist movement.

I was raised Christian. Here are the reasons I am no longer Christian: 1.) The teachings turned out to be factually incorrect. 2.) The teachings were illogical. 3.) The teachings were in large part unethical and immoral.

Not everybody who is "irreligious" was brought up on religion, you know?
