I know the Q was intended to mean fistfight, as least I think. If it were any kind of fight my answer would easily be the gunfight at the end of Tombstone, Doc and Ringo. Bob Barker -vs- Happy Gilmore comes to mind too, best of the comedy fight scenes I suppose.

  • The sword fight scene in Rob Roy with Liam Neeson. I could feel the muscles working, the exhaustion, the weight of the heavy bladed swords, the dust and heat. It stuck in my mind. I don't really think of movie fight scenes, but this one I think of once in awhile. (Hi Norman! Gem here.)

  • there are too many good ones to name just one. heres my top 10: 1. aliens ~ ripley vs. the alien ~ ripley kicks alien butt in that steel-framed robotic loading device suit. "get away from her you bitch" just awesome. 2. fight club ~ edward norton jr. kicks his own ass silly in front of his boss. 3. lord of the rings: return of the king. legolas vs. oliphant. its the battle of all battles and orlando blooms elfin character, legolas, is thinning out the enemy ranks with his bow & arrow. legolas runs up to the monstrously huge elephant creature, and in unbelievably graceful movements, uses his bow to scale on top of it, kill everyone riding on top, slide down on its head and kill it in one fell swoop with an arrow in its skull ~ it was so seamless and it only took all of 30 seconds or so. brilliant. 4. matrix ~ neo vs. agent smith. absolute cinematic genius freeze-framed for your viewing pleasure. i was mesmerized. 5. monty python & the holy grail ~ king arthur v. the black knight. arthur hacks limbs off of the knight "look, you stupid bastard. youve got no arms left." and the knight kicks him in the face after he kneels. haha! 6. star wars iv: a new hope ~ luke skywalker v. darth vader. father son death match ~ excellent! 7. terminator ii: judgment day ~ terminator vs. terminator in the final molten steel fight scene. supercool! 8. lone wolf & cub ~ series of 6 samurai movies, even better than kurosawas seven samurai in my opinion. must see! 9. gladiator ~ russell crowe dominates the screen in the fight scenes. ridley scott did a phenomenal job filming this bloody masterpiece. 10. braveheart ~ some glorious battle scenes in that one.
