The point of answer bag is to ask and answer questions to build a database of knowledge. Some discourage others because they have their own idea what is and isn't a good question. If a question is a true question it seeks for answers regardless what subject or how simple or hard a question might be. Do not let someone who feels the world revolves around them discourage you in asking anything you desire. This site is not theirs to determine what the rest of it's members should or shouldn't post. Let their moaning fall to deaf ears and enjoy yourself.

You can ask whatever you want. Anyway, everyone's idea of what is "senseless" is quite different.

You can't get away with complete nonsense questions like: "What bongo time elapsed?" but there's no rule against asking simple questions like: "What is a bongo?' Sometimes simple questions beget really interesting answers. And those who don't wish to answer simple questions are free to skip them.
