At what point did findong love become such a low priority but continue to plaug your mind?

When I broke up with the mother of my son a few months ago. Lack of sex and affection was one of the biggest reasons why I left. I do miss feeling the touch of a woman and having someone warm to snuggle up to at night, but I have also started to feel like relationships are just not worth the work and effort that they require. I don't necessarily enjoy being single, but I would rather be single than be in a relationship that was in the shape that mine was in.
