These are not going to reproduce sound very well. Those tiny little speakers cannot reproduce midrange and especially low range signals very well, so your bass will be suffering. If the system includes a subwoofer, that's a slight improvement, but subwoofers only reproduce the lowest frequency signals, so you're still going to have weak mid- to low-range response. Good speaker systems will have at least two speaker sizes with one tweeter and one woofer, and many will have tweeters, woofers, and mids, in addition to a separate subwoofer. This is necessary for accurate reproduction of sound across a wide range of frequencies.

If these little cubes say "Bose" on them, they produce amazing sound for their size - or any size for that matter - but Bose speakers have a particular sound to them that some people just don't like. If they cost less than about $100 per cube, they will not produce very accurate sound. If you don't hear very well, or don't care as long as they sound better than the speakers built into your TV set, it may be a good deal. You will almost certainly get much better sound than your TV and you get the surround sound.
