no, God is not a god of confusion. So, He would not create multiple religion with contradictory doctrines. He would have only one religion. The other religions are created because men, in their pride, refuse to accept the true faith and create their own instead.

the 7 churches that the Apostles taught how to organize and be ..and that Jesus addresses in Revelations...all point out the problems of organized worship that men cause..and point out the ones who were doing and practicing TRUTH..each had a lone practice ,no title, and was of the peoples in Faith unity, not an organized denomination with a HEAD ran monopoly...as it should be today....Faith in God is a unity of HIS, HE does have room for messy, confused, doubtful, Truth...the Truth is in the WORD, not a denomination of men's teachings...God is One Way and One Truth.... i have been to many, heard , since childhood...the main reason I disagreed is they all haughtily said others were wrong and only they had God and we'd go to hell any other way!!! I ran...where I worship....has never ever ,since childhood , taught to my knowledge...they believe they are to teach TRUTH ,not to ever assume they are the ONLY who have it...just to do the way to best of abilities as the churches did in New Testament.... i had a Pentecost elder, whom we all liked very much, as a softball coach...we discussed God alot..i was probably 19..he asked where i assembled to worship...i stated, and he said," I heard they teach they are the only true way!" i was devastated..i just told him I had never heard this taught nor knew of any peoples that felt that way...and added that even if it were so, "Don't all organizations feel that? just that they all BOASTFULLY Proclaim it" and i would never be part of such...i would defend my Beliefs ....but not such haughty, prideful, unhumble ways... every denomination that has the Audacity and Assumption to PROCLAIM they are the only that teach TRUTH or have God and Holy Spirit...is in deep trouble...they ASSUME, they are haughty, prideful,unhumble, and PRESUMPTIOUS ...

I assume you are talking about Christian churches - but I'm sure you're aware that there are many religions and many, many gods. Though many talk about "the True Religion", everyone is certain that theirs is it. And many have tortured, killed and/or been the victims of such because of their fervent faith in their true religion. And they continue so to do today. I ask - would any loving god be guiding any of them - knowingly contributing to that carnage? PS and BTW - I didn't troll the Mormon section to find this - I found it on the home page. +5
