Well for one you shouldn't really have faith. You should question everything because one day you may have faith in the wrong idea and you won't know it or you will be afraid to oppose it. As for the people who have faith in creationism that is my main point. They have faith in an idea that they are either too afraid to oppose or they believe it is the right idea and thus they don't oppose it and our society doesn't progress. You should however test the idea and if it fails then go onto another idea however if there is a way that you can change that idea and make it to where society itself benefits from it then try the idea again however if the idea is a failure itself don't try confronting it. To be frank you will be wasting a bunch of your time.

My take is that you shouldn't. - There are two possible definitions for faith. "Confidence" and "belief without evidence." - I am confident that the sun will rise tomorrow based on 30+ years of observation and a basic understanding of astronomy and physics. - I see no reason to believe anything without evidence. Therefore, assuming that when you say faith, you mean the latter, I dont think you should have any.
