Let? I would beg her!
-
yes and my 4 yr old would love to spend a week at Grandma's too!
-
depends, id have to see how the baby feels inside a coffin
-
Well, I don't have a child but I know my mother and she would make a wonderful grandmother, so yes.
-
Mmmmmmmmmm.... nnnno.

Well it would depend on what kind of relationship they had. My nephew went on holiday overseas with his Granny for ten days when he was three and it all went well but they're very close.

I have had my grandson for that long. He is 1. I would even encourage my daughter to let my mother (his great grandmother)take him for that long. She is 55. For that matter my grandmother (his great great grandmother) could do it as well. She is 85 but quite capable.

As a grandma (and step-grandpa) of a 2yo toddler, who recently tried to take her for week (managed 5 days - Mom wanted her back), and may be trying again in April, WHY would you wish to inflict that much lack of sleep (Grandma works nights, and toddler wants to play with HER more than me) on Grandma? LOL Now, at 4-5 years old, maybe, but less than that? No! (I'm joking, before you point your cursor to the minus sign!) No, we DID love having her here, but I will say that grandma was ZONKED OUT on the way to taking her back, on the way home from there, and for most of the rest of that day and the next. My zonk period was a bit shorter. LOL ;-)

Of course. Getting kids out of the house is wonderful.
-
If she felt up to it I would.

I would let one set of grandparents take my toddler for the week or more no question but I would never ever ever let the other set take them for an hour without me being there. In short, it depends on the grandma - she could be great and do things just as you would or she could be the opposite, a person you don't want your child exposed to for too long.
-
She wouldn't even ask to:) She is 89.

my parrents are a little too disciplined... my mother in law believes in NEVER letting a child be unhappy... though I think they are a little too stuck in the box, atleast if he is taken care of by my mom he would be excited to come home. daddy makes him take 1 bite, nana makes him eat what she serves.
-
yes the experience would be good for both and you may welcome a break too

my mom has taken my toddlers a few times while I was recovering. She lives 100 miles away, kept them a week at a time, and they were fine! My two year old talks about gamma all the time now! I am glad they had the bonding time considering they don't spend much time together.
