I read part of it while standing in line at the DMV. I finished the rest of it sitting in a waiting room at a doctor's appointment.

OMG. My teacher assigned it for a project to read. I'm only in 8th grade. Im a fast reader and it took me a whole entire month! Its so boring, for me.
-
Umm... 5 months maybe. Mind you I didn't read it like any other book. I read a few other books while still reading Tolstoy.
-
I stopped reading it after chapter 2. It ain't worth reading it.

2/3rds.
-
Well, the edition I have was a two-volume set and I only had one volume, so I made it half-way. I want to read the other half, but I haven't found the other book....
-
I hate to admit that yes, I did, but only because I'm a very fast reader and I had to do it for school.
-
I did..I had no choice. Years ago in Junior College I was a Liberal Arts Major..the Masterpieces of Literature class studied that work among many others. No Reader's Digest abridged version for me..it's against my religion. I either read the entire thing or I don't bother..reading condensed versions of anything seems like cheating to me! :)

No: I tried twice but could not maintain the characters and keep an interest that allowed me to continue. And you,I assume you tried at least ?
