I moved to Arizona from California last year. I didn't have any income in Arizona, do I need to file taxes in Arizona? TurboTax is asking me to buy another state (Arizona), do I need to?

If you had no income in Arizona, you don't have any income tax to file for. You do still need to file in California though, assuming you had an income there.

If you have no wages from Az. you don't have to file an AZ. tax return.

are you going to school? if so filing of taxes helps with getting the in state tutition rate, this also assumes that you have income in AZ. Anything to get away from the FTB in CA.
