I got my tongue peirced 1 week ago and it is red around the hole, is this normal?

Sorry, but I hope it is not normal! Any D.H. that wants to mutilate their body, gets NO sympathy from me. I employ people, any d.h. that shows up for a job interview will always be told, the job went to another regardless. I know a lady whom had a body piercing shop years ago, she had several piercings in those days. Today, she looks old and haggard and at 43, she looks like sixty. All the scars, yuk. Want to work for me, forget it!

Probably. Why don't you ask whoever pierced it for you? I do hope you haven't caught some life-threatening infection from your voluntary mutilation. This is one of several reasons why I would never get anything like this done. Good luck anyway.

a week later it should be getting better avoid alcohol, smoking and spicy foods, rinse with listerine at half strength twice a day and rinse very well with water after you eat or drink anything that isn't water and you should be just fine in another week
