Depends. Are you the police?
-
Nope. Because it's not illegal to download songs. And before you start down-rating me or calling me a liar, check your facts. There is no law that makes it illegal to download music. Share music - yes. Download it - no. Not in Canada. Here in fact, some bands are now giving their music away on the internet. Like The Barenaked Ladies for example. [update] I've been called on my statement that downloading is illegal in Canada, so I recant. Downloading music in Canada has never been prosecuted.

oh yeah.
-
I use Soulseek and Limewire.
-
Are you kidding? I don't even know how to download it legally!
-
Nope. I use LimeWire, which, AFAIK is perfectly legal.
-
No, I've never downloaded music, ever. I just do it the old fashioned way, I buy a CD and burn extra copies for the car. I've thought about it and would only do so legally, I'd pay for it. Don't know any other plac to do it other than legal.

Yes, if the artist won't mind. (like... they're dead. or so rich the $1 my CD purchase would add to his bank account would be like adding an eyedropper into the ocean) Underground and budding artists, however, their albums WILL be purchased by me. Heck, I bought a CD from the guy drumming on 5 gallon paint buckets outside the baseball field...
-
Nope - never have. Sorry to disappoint you.
-
If I hypothetically did, I wouldn't admit to it on here! We never did discover A Common Pencil's identity...he could be from the RIA (or whoever the US people are).
-
Always. Why spend money when you can just download anyway?
-
Crap, sorry, meant to submit this as a comment. Ignore....
