  • I usually avoid talking about them, People will say what they believe is right and true and if it doesn't match another person's beliefs fights will be started because of it. Sadly it's how wars are started as well :(
  • I avoid them more than I used to. I used to get into political and religious questions here all the time but, after enough fighting, it is rare now that I do this. In my real life it depends upon who the person is. If they do not agree with my opinion but can get into a debate without fighting, I love it. In truth I always love a good debate. Note that I said "debate"... I have bickering.
  • Depends on the company I am in. If I do not know them very well I'll probably avoid it since its not worth the effort of arguing with people who let their emotions control them. If it is people I know well enough and who are capable of having a reasoned debate about it rather than it degenerating into mudslinging then it can be entertaining. From time to time I'll even take a position I loathe simply to play devil's advocate, it tends to help strengthen your position.
  • Real life: Yes AB: I fight! lol
  • I try to avoid talking about them if at all possible. But, I am finding it hard to avoid on the AB.
  • I avoid both now. I used to try and make some intelligent comments on a few questions, but all it does is attract trolls. You can't discuss either politics or religion on AB. It is worse than Yahoo Answers. In fact, it is probably the same adolescents on both sites.
  • No, I don't avoid those subjects. I ask questions and provide answers. How much "conflict" could that generate other than some fool might dr or insult you? And how much of any damage, pragmatically speaking, can that be?
  • Bring it on!
