To love them, maybe, maybe not. To appreciate it, not at all. One doesn't need to be religious or worship a deity to develop an appreciation for beautiful works of architecture. Besides, not every church is a work of fine art and some only offer solace to those who are most like them.

I don't see how it could be wrong to love beauty. Some chruches are very beautiful.

No, I don't think it's wrong. Furthermore, I don't it's wrong of me to love the Egyptian Pyramids or Angkor Wat.

A church is a building. it can be mundane or magnificent. I see nothing wrong with appreciating the material beauty quite separately from its religious significance. The alternative is quite absurd.... a protestant would not be entitled to appreciate the beauty of a Catholic cathedral... and a mosque would be right out. The building is a building. Treat it with respect and enjoy it for what it is.
-
Of course not. They are works of art and there to be appreciated by all.
-
Absolutely not. . Regardless of which faith it is, it has to be said that religion has inspired mankind to produce the most magnificent architecture and the most sublime works of art and beauty. I can't think of anything else in the world or in the mind that could provide mankind with enough motivation or inspire enough awe such that he would produce anything even remotely comparable to that which religious belief has.

There are some truly magnificent cathedrals, churches and temples of various kinds, as well as religious sculptures, paintings and music. As an atheist I can certainly appreciate their beauty and the talent behind them irrespective of the religious beliefs they represent. It's no more wrong than a Christian appreciating the beauty of the Taj Mahal or visiting the prehistoric temples of Malta.
