If you don't know the answer to a question do you... A. Make something up B. Give a witty remark or C. Read the answers and rate up the one you think is best? On a related note... do you mark down witty comments or laugh and move on?

I answer what I believe I can or C in soome instances. Also I have learned only in some instances to make a witty remark because trolls abound and you risk an idiot down rating an answer because they have no sense of humor.

If I don't know the answer to a question, then I take the question as a chance to learn something new for myself and look it up. And if I feel I've learned enough to answer the question in a timely manner, I'll answer it. If someone posts the answer that I also came up with, I will mark up that answer and possibly comment. I like witty comments and wish there was a way to rate them separatly. :)

If I know it I post it. If I dont know it and am interested in it, I go find it. Other wise Im pullin stuff out of the air.

I read the existing answers and rate up the good ones. If there are answers that are just a witty remark, I laugh, and move on without rating them up or down. If there is something rude, or completely incorrect, I will rate it down. I usually only post an answer if I know an answer.

to make something up, requires you to delve into your knowlage. If someone can imagine a new colour, i will take back my theory.
