Ask for the names of customers who will "vouch" for the quality of his work performance. If in the USA, check to see if the broker is associated with (or has a favorable reputation with) the local Better Business Bureau in his city. http://www.bbb.org/us/ Find out if he is with any professional organizations, then check his standing with them. If you meet with resistance to your inquiries (or anger) immediately find someone else, with whom to do business. +5
