Why do people ask stupid questions. I'm not surprised by the responses at all, they are well justified for retardation! I mean it's very obvious there are groups of people out of every race that doesn't tip and I'm an example of a black person that those tip! I wonder just how many negative points this one will build up?

It's not racist, it is statistically accurate. 60% of black people do not tip. 30% of white people do not tip. On average blacks who do tip end up tipping 20% less than whites. It isn't a rasist thing, because the question is not stating that blacks are inferior. It's just an observation, which happens to be absolutely true. (though it should have been worded why do the MAJORTY of black people not tip?) My theory is that many have not learned the system. I've talked to many black people who were entirely speechless when they learned that waiters only make $2.13 an hour, which is why tipping is so important. Moreover, there is an obvious cultural pathway for this as well. For some reason (and I really don't mean to sound racist, honestly, but it's true) modern black people tend to still blame white people and the system for the oppression that took place so long ago. This reverse racism seems to make them want to "fight the system" so to speak, so the ones that do understand the rules of tipping often don't anyway. Another cultural motive is the fact that (and again, not being racist, but some steriotypes are too often true) blacks tend to be raised more aggresively than whites. Due to the societal expectations from the reasons stated above, blacks feel entitled to "equality," which often comes across as though they deserve more than whites, or that society is indebted to them somehow. And the final portion of my theory comes from experience and conversations with my two attractive ex girlfriend waitresses. Black men usually won't tip unless they 1: have an attractive server, and 2: think that they will get something from her. I'm sorry, but it's true. Probably due to the megalomaniac idiots who are allowed to get behind microphones and spew shit about having sex with women thanks to their money or some other egotistical aspect of themselves. It is teaching an entire generation delusions of granduer that end up coming across as general assholery. Of course there is another component to these theories, and that is the racial paradox. A server is seated with black people and immediately expects a substandard tip. This is reflected in his/her mood, and thus warrants such a tip. However, a black person goes to a sit down restaurant and immediately expects shitty service, and therefore decides that he/she will not tip, or begins to look for every single thing the server does wrong. It's a vicious cycle. I think that restaurants or labor unions need to launch ad campaigns to inform people about the importance of tipping, as well as the true nature of a servers job. It is becoming apparent that blacks 1: don't know that servers make roughly $2 an hour, and 2: severely underestimate how hard a serving job is. To quote an african american: "If I've paid for a $100 meal I don't want to dole out $16 to someone who has brought me a couple glasses of water." This is of course incredibly stupid, because if you have paid for $100 worth of food, the sever has brought out ALL OF THAT FOOD, plus all of your drinks, and that server has been waiting on 3 other tables at the same time. He or she has probably walked, in total, a quarter of a mile doing all the footwork just for your table. Plus that server has to total the check, split it up at request of the customer, they have to take your plates, and during all of that, if she has the unfortunate condition of being a female, she has probably been harassed and hit on the entire time. And let me tell you a secret fella's - black, white, mexican, whatever; she is NOT IN THE MOOD. Don't put your god damn phone number on the back of the reciept, she'll just post it on the employee's cork board for everyone to read and laugh at and possibly prank call. She has been working all day, she looks 1/10th as good as she normally does, and she's most likely VERY pissed off, even if you can't tell. One last thing. Black people sure do love to exercise free speech when it comes to talking about white people, but for fucks sake don't ask a relevant and true question about black people! dont give me that racist crap! i was a sever for 3 years and almost every black person didnt tip! i could not get a sever to take black tables because they say i dont work for free. Its is that black people are cheap and act like fool in public. Like serving fucking children
