Your local library will probably have most major legal forms. Filing your own separation, divorce, living will or will is a lot less expensive. The only fees you would have to pay are the ones incurred when you file it in court. As long as you and your spouse have a mutual understanding and there isn't alot of community property to dispose of or children to argue about, then I would say filing your own separation will be alright. I would call around to some of the divorce lawyers to find out what they charge to go over the paper work to make sure you have your "i's" dotted and such. My lawyer went over my will at no charge to me and it was the first time I ever had business with him. I do not advocate living under the same roof as it is very hard to let go of feelings on either party's part once you have had an intimate and committed relationship. It doesn't sit will when the other has a date or ???
