If the roof of the mouth and tounge has a burning sensation and people are smoking could it cause mouth cancer? just wondering

Regardless of the burning sensation in the tongue and mouth, smoking can cause many cancers. By the way, if you are a woman, post menapausal, there is a good chance that you have Burning Mouth Syndrome. No one knows why it comes, but it will not cause anything terminal-other than a little aggravation and depression. Men can get it too, but it is not as often.
