no, not yet anyways. He is today however. He has teh potential to be the best and is easily a top 10
-
Not the greatest ever YET. He easily could go down as the greatest ever someday. I think he is the greatest playing today.
-
Quite possibly. I have been watching tennis since 1985 and he is the best I have seen, I have never known the men's game dominated the way that he has dominated it for the last 3 years; even Sampras at his best only ever dominated at Wimbledon, you still felt he was beatable on anything but a grass court... but even on his weakest surface of clay, Federer still looks supreme and better than everyone bar Nadal. Bjorn Borg or Rod Laver may have been better than him; they won routinely on every surface. Aside from those, I don't know of anyone else who comes close. When he wins the French Open, which I think he will, then he will be beyond doubt the greatest of all time in my opinion.

Yes he is. It is amazing how many people have not realized this yet.
-
I really don't think so. IMHO, the field of men players right now is weaker then it has been in the last 20 years.
-
He is certainly a contender for that title and as the game looks today it is definate that his record is going to look that way. On th other hand the mens game is pretty weak at the moment so it is very difficult to say greatest ever. Sampras was playing at a time when the field was still very strong as was Bjorn Borg who actually retired at 25. He is certainly the best for a long time and one of the greatst ever

I'm not sure if he's the greatest ever, but surely he is among the top. Tennis racquets have changed so much over the past 20-25 years that it's hard to compare a person who plays today's power-driven, speed-of-light game with someone who played with the finesse required to win with wooden racquets. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he couldn't play just as well with an antique racquet- he is obviously extremely talented- but I'd have to be able to see everyone playing on equal courts with equal gear before I would award him the Best Tennis Player Ever trophy. Out of the current players, he is undoubtedly the best, though.

oh 10 grand slams in a row.Superb.I love his bankhanks very much. He's so accurate that you might have see when he played with Gonzalez in the Australian Open finals.I always love see the match between Nadal and Federer.
-
i think it goes to people's beliefs. anyways.lol. i think he is. BUT pete was really good always. but overall i thikn roger is the best.
-
No not yet. The best today but not the greatest ever. I'd have to say Pete Sampras for that one.
-
In my time the greatest I have ever seen and if he plays as he does for a few more years I believe the answer will be yes ...
-
not yet, by the end of his career i am sure he will be. I dont think anyone with half a brain at all doubts him because he probably is the most talented player ever.
-
not yet, but i am sure he will be. He is certainly the most talented player ever
-
obviously yes
-
ever? well there is the future and who knows, but he is one of the best.
-
Perhaps. But in my heart, Andre Agassi is the best tennis player - ever. I have met him and he has a great heart too. That counts. Big time. :)
