Are you kidding? Most of my "nest egg" has been devoured by the stock market crash. Starting about six months ago I began washing my car for the first time since the invention of the car wash.
I discovered, by the way, that I could do a better job than the car wash. And it doesn't take too much time. And I actually enjoy it.
My wife gives me 8 dollars every time I wash the car.
I've been washing my own car for years. When I was a kid I washed my Dad's car. It's not a matter of money. It's a matter of pride. I do a good job and who needs to get in the car and drive it to a car wash where they will abuse my car anyway.
Sometimes in summer..but not usually..
i do me dads and a few neibours for a tenner a pop..
I look for carwash fundraisers in the summer - because I remember trying to raise money for trips and stuff.
Maybe once a year. Have taken it through a carwash twice. Now I should confess to having had the current car for 8 years. No garage/carport, so I let the rain do its thing ;)
I did last month to clean off the salt and sand from winter driving.
On very rare occasions during warm weather. Mostly I'll run it through the car wash on occasion.
no way.. it's so much easier to run it through the car wash after I pump in some gas... one stop shop!!!!
are you insane?? Nope - I get myself a packet of crisps, and go to the car wash like everyone else!
I wash it myself, first I systematically clean the road tar off the paint, then take it to a hand car cash, the ones where you hold the sprayer and scrub brush. I'm also anal about making sure the wax is current. A lot of this has to do with the fact that my SUV is white, everything shows up, and if the wax job is only so so, the tar sticks as though it were super glued on. OH, I wax it myself also.
i have washed it at all in a year...it is not a very nice car.
yep.
In college I would...now I usually take it somewhere to have it cleaned. Two reasons, now that I am not broke anymore I can afford to spend 10 bucks a pop, and I just don't have the time or energy to do it myself in the driveway.
Once or twice a year I do, mostly I take it to a carwash.
I wash my own car. I do a better job and I don't have to worry about somebody hurting my baby!

I just stare at it, and clouds come over with pure water, and rain on it, cleaning every spec of dust on my car.
Yeah,I wash my Granny's and rightnow I don't own one.
I was my bike.I love doing that.
..
There was a time I washed other people's cars, during my college days.
Sometimes and I mostly take my car to a detail shop Instead.
yes and no. we do wash it ourselves but mother nature does it more than we do.
If it gets washed I'm the one that does it. I don't do it much. I do clean out the inside regularly though.
Yes I do. Usually at a self service car wash. During the winter it is almost impossible to keep it clean.
yes
yes i love to wash my car! i play music and just wash it then give it a nice wax. i HATE seeing streaks on it!
Of course! How else would I know the intricate details of my car? But I do like car washes too :)
Yes always..much more satisfaction then sending it to a car wash cos they dont use quality car wash and they might make a wax impression of the keys if your back ir turned and use the impression to duplicate the keys.big chance of getting your car stolen this way.has happened to lots of people
Most of the time but I will still send it to the car washers occasionally.
I used to take it to car washes but i'd end up wasting money because it would still be dirty, so now, yes i do wash my own car about once a week. i just washed it today lol.
Yes, I do.
No, it washes itself.
ya and i wax my car to for free i get wax for free here http://tinyurl.com/5l8eaw
Yes,
I wash and vacuum my car about once every two weeks and polish + wax about once a month. I know that it doesn't need to be waxed every month, but I'm an aficionado. I would never take it to a car wash b/c swirls will show up in the paintwork.
It takes me a long time...about 2 hours each time to wash + vacuum and about 4-5 hours to wash, vacuum, polish, and wax. It's well worth it to keep my car looking tip top!
Yes, when I can't tell what color it is anymore.
yes
Noway! I'm pretty sure the dirt is holding it together.
Yes I also wax it.
Yes, and I am planning wash+wax during this weekend. It has been raining like crazy in this area, so washing the car has not been on my agenda. It should get better in the next few days. Will see..
My s/o does it.
I think God does a fine job of washing my car.
Yes I do.
Polish it with an old wool sock till it shines.
Put wax on the windshield as well and polish it.Makes a big difference in the windows shedding water during a rain storm.
