Do you think AB needs an additional details section for questions? what if you're posting something that you need help with, like in the programming section, and you need more space? i feel weird answering my own q just to add more details.

What some people do when they have long questions is to answer their own question with the part of their question that couldn't fit in the question box.

It's been suggested numerous times. Who knows what they'll do when they update the site. Meanwhile, just use an answer to extend your question. If you type the whole thing off-site (say a text-editor like Notepad), you can simply paste it into the answer, VIEW your answer (from the Thank You page), grab the Permalink of the answer (right-click on it, then Copy Shortcut (IE) or Copy Link Location (FF)), edit your question again (if EDIT is available at the end, you can), and paste (Control-V for IE/FF) the Permalink of your answer to the Reference URL.
