First of all who have they been associating with? Next get a bar of soap and a was rag and tell them cussing will get you a tongue washing. It won't hurt them and I doubt you will have to do it more than once.

In a lot of cases, kids will hear bad language and see that it gets a reaction, and then will imitate that language in order to get the reaction. Don't give them what they are looking for. Don't go off at them, or laugh, or act shocked, just take them aside and tell them that what they are saying is hurtful, and you don't want them to use those words. If it gets really out of control, then you might want to think about dishing out some kind of punishment.

Next time it happens say something scolding (but simple) like "Oh my, I'm glad no one else was around to hear that." Then the next time he/she wants to go somewhere 'fun' say "Oh no, remember the bad words you used the other day? We can't go because I'd be too afraid you might use a bad word again." There will be begging and pleading, but if you persist with this until you feel confident the behavior has stopped, the natural consequences of not being able to do something fun will have taught the lesson for you in a much more meaningful way.
