    1) The pterodactyl's name seems to have been Gnasher. It is also the name of the dog in Dennis the Menace.
I could not find any image or video, unfortunately.

    Maybe these images (???)

    3) "Oscar The Rabbit : Oscar The Rabbit was voiced by Lance Percival. Oscar himself was a white rabbit and his adventures revolved around avoiding Gnasher - a dragon who was always trying to catch him to add Oscar to his pot for dinner."

"didn't the rabbit fall into a dustbin or something at the beginning of the titles?"

"Not sure about him falling into a dustbin, it's possible. A washing-line, and a cooking pot; seemly always on the boil,I guess awaiting one rabbit, springs to mind. But after I posted original comment, I think that Gnasher, was in fact, not a dragon, but a pterodactyl. And you know how some theme tunes stay with you, well, this one has, and I can only describe it as a kinda fairground melody type of effort; no words, sort of screechy in places.Ring any bells?"

"Deinitely!!!!!, we used to get it in Scotland about mid-late afternoon, I can remember him swinging about on a tyre at the either beginning or the end of the programme, It was called something like Oscar and the great Wooferoo, I remember the tune vividly and Karen O you are right about the sort of fairground style music and yes it was very screechy in places, Gnashers was the Pterodactyl and the Dragon was called Zaggy and did involve the Washing Line of Death, I think Gnashers may have also appeared in a very similar type of programme called The Dinosaur Show and it was set to a black background but you could sometimes see the movements of the persons controlling the puppets in the background. I reckon this was out about 1977ish,same time as Jamie and The Magic Torch"

"Gnashers! the stuff of nightmares,he was the cause of many for me anyway! absolutely terrified of him, but Im bigger and braver now at 33 and would love to watch this show again, i think? Didn't realise it was called Oscar the rabbit either, consider myself educated."

Made in the 197o's. The white rabbit was always chased by the pterodactyl (Gnasher), It also had a washing line of death in it!?"

"All I can remember is a dragony kind of creature that I think was called Nasher / Gnasher.
It lived in a cave where it had a cauldron.
It spend its entire time trying to catch a rabbit/hare to put in the pot.
The rabbit loved playing on a swing outside the cave."

    5) "OSCAR (1977-78)
    ITV
MORE CHROMAKEYED black velvet marionettage for summer holiday mornings, here concerning the titular happy-go-lucky rabbit and his adventures in the land of Rubbidge, a vicious (yet oddly sympathetic) pterodactyl ("G-Nashers") in a cave (complete with washing line of death), a knight with a clock in his body, and various other weird elements. The show was actually a South African production with original Afrikaans soundtrack. It was imported into the UK and dubbed into English, NOT the other way round.

This series was also shown in South Africa, dubbed into Afrikaans! Somebody has posted some episodes on YouTube. The memories will come back, even if the voices are different!
