  • how do you assume somewhere is to expensive? you can either tell by the stuff in the window, if you cant, you'll take a look inside to see what the prices are like, for groceries i will go for cheap, but i'll pay more for specialist stuff, never hurts to look
  • Yeah there are places I don't bother going into. There are places like that I go to with my girlfriend, but I don't feel bad about not getting her anything.
  • The only stores I don't go into are the one's in which I've had bad service. Oddly enough, that's usually the expensive store.
  • Yes I am like that with a few clothing stores. The only times I wille ven go into certain stores is if I am getting something specific that I can't get somewhere else, or it is a last resort for a special occasion outfit. It is usually not an assumption though, I know I can't afford anything in there!
  • Oh yes ... like I always "Thought" that Kohl's was an EXPENSIVE store ... My young nephew got me to go in there one day and now I have about $1,400 of items on my Kohl's charge card .... Thing is ; Kohl's has some EXPENSIVE items ; BUT they have DAM* good sales .. and discounts ..
  • No. If I chose to NOT go to a store, it has nothing to do with price of goods, it has to do with whether I think the store, or the store corporate entity sucks, is immoral, is bad for the community, or if they have policies which I think serve no good purpose. I do not EVER go to WalMart - and have not done so for years (I was once stopped and my purse checked when at at WalMart and NO I had not stolen anything). WalMart proved my point this past Christmas season when they took a store janitor and made him instant security guard - which cost the man his life. Anyone who goes to WalMart either really needs to (because of finances), or they are ignoring the fact that WalMart can be (and usually is) a blight on the community by putting small business out of business..... Thats just for starters....
  • No because I have been in them and know they are way overpriced.
  • Yes - I am a signal mom with a Budget.
  • Well, there are certain stores I don't bother going into in the famous shopping area of Brussels when I am on my way to work, not necessarily because of the prices but because I assume most of the stuff is too small for me.
  • I don't shop at Macy's because they always stare at me like I'm going to steal something.
