  • the bible says marrage is between a man and women so they can have sex and have children so if your gunna go by christian beliefs that would be a no gay people should be allowed to get married because athiests do it and people pf pther faiths do it and the state is supposed to be seperate from churh so they shouldent be able to ban it and celibacy is gay ...thats a joke if your offended well suck it up
  • From what I understand you are not really married until you consumate the marriage. Thus the question you ask is null and void due to this requirement! I reckon gay people should be able to marry. Marriage was a business thing when it first began. What it is now is not what it began as, which was a way to keep wealth. Cousins married each other in order to keep wealth in the family (look at any monarchy in order to see proof of this!).
  • If two individuals, whatever their orientation, vow to remain celibate, and keep their vow, then the only purpose marriage would serve is in the matter of inheritance. If two homosexuals (or even heterosexuals, for that matter) have vowed to remain celibate, they wouldn't really need to marry. They may merely live together as friends (and it does not amount to "living in sin" as they used to say), and include each other in their wills. Of course, if they do marry, the inheritance issue would be much simplified.
  • I think that people have the right to get married as long as they don't do anything illegal. Homosexuality is not illegal. Gay marriage is not legal everywhere, but I think it should. Whatever the reason, not consuming the marriage is also "okay", if both agree to it (but it could be a reason for divorce, if one of them raises the issue). I am sorry, but I cannot conceive homosexuality as being "wrong" in any way.
  • Since you are asking for a Biblical perspective, and not a personnal perspective here is your answer. God said from the beginning of time that "a man would leave his mother and father, and be joined together and the two would become one flesh." this is talking about marriage, and the consumation, so therefore by the biblical standards Homosexuals should not either marry nor have sex. Now from my personnal perspective, it is the same thing. But I beleive that homosexuality is simply a bondage that Satan uses to hold people back from their God given destiny. In Romans chapter 1 it talks about how homosexuality is not natural but it is a lust of the flesh, and the mind. And in Galatians chapter 5 it says that no homosexual will enter into the kingdom of Heaven. And because the only thing that can keep you out of Heaven is sin, Homosexuality in its entirety is sin, whether by marriage or by sex.
