What is the difference with the jobs labeled as "Union Position" when job searching online? I know they are in a union but what should I consider if I want to apply for that job?

By informing you it is a Union Position.It is telling you that you would have to join the Union of that shop.Also,of someone with the proper Union card and experience applies demending on the contract the Union has with the company.That Union card member will be considered for that position before you in this case.
