  • I'd think he may be having some problems, but I would not make assumptions on what they are. One might jump to some conclusion like he has a drinking problem when in reality he suffers from insomnia and when he finally gets to sleep at 4 or 5 a.m. he is exhausted and has trouble waking. I don't think he should use his employee as an additional alarm clock. I'm not sure if I would approach him and ask if he was having problem and offer help unless the problem got too bad.
  • Sounds like the boss either has a substance abuse problem, or is in love! :)
  • Taking the mickey. He knows he has a problem, and he is passing it onto you. Sounds like a joke. Ignore him. If he asks you rang him. If he can make an effort to turn up you can then make an effort to acknowledging his silly request.
  • We all have rough spots in our lives.. If you can talk with him and see whats up. He may need help because of something you don't know about. Wouldn't you like someone to care enough to ask and see if they could help if it was you?
  • It sounds like he is going through a hard time, i would ask to be paid from when you are asked to show up and not when you clock on;0)
  • He might need an intervention.
  • He's meeting with mob loan sharks/police and is using your call as an excuse to leave.
