  • Try using plain old lotion on your hair. Worked for me.
  • Try Nioxin products. They are amazing. I use number 8 for chemically treated course hair and mine is now shiny and no longer course. Worth every dime.
  • Drink lots of water. Eat a balanced diet. For a little while, make a mixture of olive oil and conditioner and let it sit in your hair for at least a half hour before you rinse - do this every week if you'd like. Those are the best ways, IMHO.
  • Ive heard many times that washing your hair everyday isnt good for it. Try washing it every other day.
  • not die it or use pantene
  • What type is your hair? If you have curly or kinky hair (like mine) it will never be sleek or shiny, because of the way light is deflected off the curls, it's as simple as that. Get regular cuts, and try to get your hair in condition from the inside out. Drink lots of water, and eat lots of fruit and veg.
  • Don't use cheap shampoo and don't wash it as often.
  • Both of those are a topical treatment at best which does not mean you should use cheap or harsh. I would wonder about your diet {balanced?}, genetics {how were your parents?} and your enviorment - in dry air, pollutants, smoke, ect?
  • Make sure you eat healthily and generally lead a healthy life style. Also, many shampoos often create a chemical dependency in your hair and many have ingredients that harm your scalp. You could try and find a better shampoo, or use non-shampoo ingredients on your hair (such as castile soap or solutions of baking soda in water and vinegar in water -- crazy as the last two sound, they work really well).
  • try a beer shampoo you can buy them i have use one my hair is thick and curly work on me.
