I think the easiest way to level, at least for the first 20 or so levels is to do lots of quests. Start in the noob area for your class and then do the noob quests in nearby cities. For example if you're a Human, do all the quests in and around Stormwind/Elwynn forest and then catch the train to the Dwarf zone (Orgrimmar?) or boat to the Night Elf zone (Darnassus/Teldrassil) Naturally kill as many mobs as you can along the way.
