Does anyone else throw spaghetti against the wall to test for doneness?

I used to, but I don't anymore. I threw it against the wall and it landed near the top of the ceiling, and I wasn't able to get it done for quite a while haha. Since then I just take a fork and taste it myself. Seems more logical :)

No I just run it under cold water and taste it:) I am a pro at spaghetti..I just know:) I am that smart:)LOL:P

Uhh....no. I just test it for texture. I like your way better.

no... i first fill a pot of water with a little bit of salt and set to boil. when water is boiling, i add spaghetti and set the timer for exactly 12 minutes. done! this will result in perfectly al dente pasta :) (no testing needed) you should mix the pasta a couple of times while cooking so that the spaghetti wont stick together. you can also add a little bit of olive oil to prevent sticking.

hellzz ya i do! I've never had a problem with over cooked pasta though so i just boil it for a good 14 minutes...I don't like it al dante!
