Fear of the unknown. Fear of pain or regret!

Because death is the ultimate universal mystery. Even die-hard religious folk still don't know exactly what happens after death, and not knowing is a scary thing.

one time i thought that death was the end, and this made me feel very dark and sad. but then i relized that if death was the end, that wasnt realy a big deal any way. and pluss if death was the end then there would be no hell. so then i got used to this idea. but then i learned that there are after lifes by watching videos on youtube that conviced me. and then i was dissapointed, i grew to like the idea of dieing and never comeing back.. lol. because if life never ends, then this means that you just keep going forever and ever and ever and ever, and that kind of gets old i think.. you never get a break. but now i am used to this idea of never disapearing. now i realy dont care what happens. actualyy i dont even care to much if i would go to hell forever, at least you wouldnt disapear. but i think i would deffinitly choose heaven over hell. lol

A permanent loss of being.

Religious people fear death because the feel unworthy of salvation. It is difficult to understand the gift God offers to us. Of course we are unworthy, many that think they ARE worthy are the very ones that are not! Salvation comes with the realization through humility that we can never save ourselves without the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Death is only change. People fear change. They may not like what they have now but they don't know what they will have after death. I don't understand how atheists could fear death if they believe their life shuts off into nothingness. Do they fear they are wrong? That would indeed be a fearsome thought.

So many regrets left in this worl,so many unfulfilled wishes..And i haven't make my best friend happy and haven't repay my debts to my parents after they raise me so well.. Wouldn't it be sad you die before you could say thanks??

Death doesn't worry me at all, it never has. For me, I would prefer to die younger rather than become really helpless and a burden to other people. However, we all view things very differently, particuarly death and dying.

I think that it is not death as such that worries people but the way you die. And I am afraid that interesting things will happen after I die, but I will be dead and won't know about them...that really annoys me... But I do worry about how I will go. Probably not gently into that good night...I plan on kicking and screaming and hanging on with all my might.
