No, I haven't read this book but aren't you kind of spoiling it for other people with this question?

No. The story was mildly enjoyable, but THOROUGHLY predictable. And if it weren't predictable enough, Meyer took 200 pages to describe what a competent author would in a few paragraphs. Not very tear-inducing.

I seem to have done (without too much effort) an incredibly thorough job of avoiding ANY knowledge of the Twilight books or the recent movie....:-D...
